George is a small, 2yr old, neutered male Shih Tzu who weighs 15lbs. Sometimes he is snuggly, cuddly and likes to be held and sometimes he is goofy and playful and wants to run. George likes to “talk” to you with barking when he is trying to get your attention, so he may not be the best match for an apartment. He has met gentle dogs and done well too. When George gets the sillies, he runs in big circles, barking at you to run with him. He likes to play and wants you to interact with him, however he is learning that it is best to play with his toys and not our hands. George is smart and with consistent reminders, he can learn his doggy manners. When George is relaxed, he is affectionate and likes being held while you pet him. George would do best in an adult home or a home with older children because he is not comfortable with handling and seems to have some limitations to his sight range.
