This sweet, old boy is Max. He is a medium sized, 40lb mixed breed dog who deserves a nice retirement home. Max is a leaner and will snuggle right into you. He gets so happy to see people he knows.  He still has some play in him and he prances around when he is happy. He is neutered, and extremely loyal to his person. He follows you around and will lay at your feet. Max is gentle and laid back and has done well with other dogs who are gentle with him. Since Max came into us thin, we ran a blood panel on him and his bloodwork came back completely normal!  Max gets attached to his person in just a few hours. He wants to be with you. He enjoys short leisurely walks outside so he can sniff the ground. Please help us find a home for this sweet, senior boy who will steal your heart if you come and meet him.  Some websites require us to list a breed for him, so we are calling him a Sheltie/Shepherd mix. He has cute floppy ears like a Sheltie with the coloring of a Shepherd.
