Animals in Animal Advocates Rescue Program have no number preceeding their name and are listed as in foster care; please use their name when inquiring: 410.880.2488 ext #3

:: HoCo Animal Control and Adoption Facility Information
Howard County Animal Control is the County's center for pet adoption. It is located in the large red brick building with a green roof on the right on Davis Road (past the Animal Welfare Building, with whom we are not affiliated).

:: Adoption Hours
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday | 10:00 am - 4:30pm
Tuesday Adoption Hours | 1:30 - 7:00 p.m.
Saturdays | 10 a.m - 2:00pm
Important notes about Shelter Hours:
Fridays: The shelter closes approximately 2 hours early the last Friday of the month
Saturdays: When the Howard County Government offices are closed on a Friday, the shelter will be closed that Saturday. When the Howard County Government offices are closed on a Monday, the shelter is closed the preceding Saturday

***GREAT NEWS*** All animals adopted from Howard County Animal Control will be microchipped for free at the time of their adoption. Charges (for shelter animals only) are as follows:

All Howard County residents who adopt an animal over four months of age must purchase a current license. The cost is $6.
$5 RABIES VACCINE CLINIC is held the 3rd Thursday of each month from 12 noon to 1:30pm. $5 cash or check only.
