We count on your donations to continue our life-saving work. As a non-profit organization with no paid staff members, our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly on behalf of local animals. And our efforts are paying off. Our innovative programs have been credited with reducing the number of animals who are euthanized at our local animal control facility. Our dream is that one day, no adoptable animals will be killed in area shelters. We thank you for helping us realize this dream.Visit the donation page to see where your money goes.

Wendel is an adorable, baby turtle. He is a Red Ear Slider, who will grow up to 12 inches wide. He will need a large water tank or tub with the proper water turtle habitat. As an adult he will need a tank of water 100gallons or more. Wendel enjoys climbing around his tank, hiding under rocks and basking under his tank lamps. Red ear slider turtles live for 20-40 years. They need fresh food daily since they eat their food in the water. As Wendel grows, his colors will darken.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the Howard County government has suspended adoptions for the time being but feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll let you know when the shelter reopens!
