Our beautiful little Diamond Girl was rescued just hours away from death...quite literally. We received a call from a concerned citizen regarding two pit bull puppies, one of them almost too weak to stand. When we arrived, we found little Diamond, who was really nothing but skin and bones, and so incredibly weak, she was incapable of moving.. One thing she could still manage, even in her sad condition, was to wag the tip of her tail and give us a kiss on our chins. We brought her back to the shelter and gave her IV fluids, as she was also dehydrated. She was not even interested in food, as she had simply given up. But, we would put little bits of food in her mouth, and, finally, to cheers, she began to eat. Diamond is only about 6 months old. When she arrived she was 21 pounds. Less than two weeks later, she is almost 33 pounds!! Diamond LOVES everyone, and is glad to be alive! She is good with other dogs (kisses them in the mouth) and good with cats (although the cats do NOT appreciate her sense of humor).
