As you walk into the cat room, you might look into Asha’s cage and think she is shy. She might be hiding under a blanket or bed, waiting to see if you will be her friend. It has been great to see Asha open up here at the shelter. She has blossomed from a bashful kitty to an awesome, playful and energetic kitty. She takes a little time to show her fun side to someone new, but once she does, she likes to jump up in the air to chase a fuzzy toy. She also likes to spend time on a cat tree by a window. Her eyes widen as you dangle the toy and move it from side to side. Even in a shy moment, she just can’t help it and pounces out to catch it. Once she knows you, she comes up for attention and rubs on your ankle. Asha is only 1yr old and she looks like an Oriental Shorthair mix. She is beautiful!

Not only does Asha have a wonderful personality, but she has given the ultimate gift of life to some abandoned kittens. Yep, three babies were found and being cared for by Asha’s foster Mom. Asha seemed so happy to take care of them. They were abandoned no more due to her affectionate care.
