We count on your donations to continue our life-saving work. As a non-profit organization with no paid staff members, our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly on behalf of local animals. And our efforts are paying off. Our innovative programs have been credited with reducing the number of animals who are euthanized at our local animal control facility. Our dream is that one day, no adoptable animals will be killed in area shelters. We thank you for helping us realize this dream.Visit the donation page to see where your money goes.
Squirt is a 3 year old neutered male Yorkie and is probably the only dog that is happy to be at a shelter. His previous life was less than perfect and left him malnourished and underweight. Even though Squirt has seen such a rough life in his short 3 years, he still enjoys the company of people and playing in the yard with volunteers. He has not lost his spunk and certainly not his bark. Squirt has made such progress since being brought to the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center. He is sporting a summer approved haircut and is gaining weight at a healthy pace. Squirt deserves a home where he can take long walks, eat the best meals, and one where he knows he will always have somewhere soft to lay his head at the end of the night. If you are interested in adopting Squirt please contact the shelter to check on his availability.
