Chimuelo is an adorable, scruffy Terrier type dog who was rescued from Puerto Rico and transferred to us by some gracious volunteers. Chimuelo is a medium sized, 4yr old, male who weighs 33lbs. He would feel comfortable in a quieter home because sudden sounds and movements startle him. He is a very sensitive, quiet dog who would like a schedule so he knows what to expect. As long as you are quiet and confident, Chimuelo will allow you to pet him. If you are nervous, it makes him feel nervous. Once he knows you, he is super sweet and affectionate and lays his head on you. He is learning to walk on leash and doing well. He just wants to be protected and he needs to learn to trust a person’s guidance instead of wanting to hide. Come on by and meet this sweet boy as we help him get used to his new surroundings. He might just be the lap dog for you.
