Phoenix is a lovely 11 year old spayed blond mixed breed. She is in rescue only because her owner died. She loves attention --ear scratches and belly rubs are her favorite! She's a quiet lady who only barks when she hears something unusual. Phoenix came into our program with untreated diabetes, but with good food and medications, her diabetes is controlled and she is thriving! Phoenix is blind but that doesn't stop her from living a normal life. She has adapted well and just needs a person who is mindful that she has no sight. Phoenix is fine with other animals as long as they give her space, She might growl at first introduction to a new pet since she can't see, but quickly becomes curious and friendly once she feels things are safe.
