Your Donation Saves Lives!

We count on your donations to continue our life-saving work. As a non-profit organization with no paid staff members, our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly on behalf of local animals. And our efforts are paying off. Our innovative programs have been credited with reducing the number of animals who are euthanized at our local animal control facility. Our dream is that one day, no adoptable animals will be killed in area shelters. We thank you for helping us realize this dream.Visit the donation page to see where your money goes.

About Birdie

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • General Color: Calico or Dilute Calico
  • Color: Calico

Birdie is not in the shelter but in a Foster Home; please use the contact info at the bottom of this description.  Birdie is a lovely classic calico with beautiful markings and stunning green eyes. Birdie knows her name and comes when called. She is so affectionate that she often tries to distract me from cleaning her litter box so I will pet her more. She is very chatty and talkative.

Birdie is the head cat of her group of three cats. She is very motherly and lovingly grooms her sisters. She has a calm, mellow personality and loves to chill in front a window, watching birds and squirrels.

Birdie loves to be brushed and petted. She loves to use the scratching post. She enjoys chasing toys. She has a bit of extra weight and was switched to a low carb diet recently.  Once motivated to play, she really loves to run around and get exercise.

Birdie is spayed, microchipped, in great health, and is up to date with her vaccinations. We estimate her to be 3-5 years old.

Birdie is available for adoption only because her owner passed away. We are hoping Birdie can be adopted with her bonded "sisters" Monkey Girl and Rollie, also shown on our website, but understand if this is not possible.  You can see a video of The Girls here:  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GXWKmtBTW_ZSAwkgsDYwSME9FkWNeMjY/view
