We count on your donations to continue our life-saving work. As a non-profit organization with no paid staff members, our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly on behalf of local animals. And our efforts are paying off. Our innovative programs have been credited with reducing the number of animals who are euthanized at our local animal control facility. Our dream is that one day, no adoptable animals will be killed in area shelters. We thank you for helping us realize this dream.Visit the donation page to see where your money goes.

Callie is a sweet female Pit Bull mix in need of a loving forever home. She is approximately 8months to a year old. Callie came to the shelter as an owner surrender due to landlord restrictions. According to her previous owner she is house broken and crate trained. She has lived with children but the previous owner did not specify how old they were. When Callie came to the shelter, she was not bearing weight on one of her legs. A visit to our vet showed with x-rays that Callie had a previous leg injury that went untreated for some time. Callie’s new forever family will have to follow up with their vet for her long term care. Here at the shelter she still enjoys playtime with the other dogs. We encourage you to bring your in if you have one at home to make sure their playstyles match. Interested in becoming Callie’s forever family? Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the Howard County government has suspended adoptions for the time being but feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll let you know when the shelter reopens!
