Your Donation Saves Lives!
We count on your donations to continue our life-saving work. As a non-profit organization with no paid staff members, our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly on behalf of local animals. And our efforts are paying off. Our innovative programs have been credited with reducing the number of animals who are euthanized at our local animal control facility. Our dream is that one day, no adoptable animals will be killed in area shelters. We thank you for helping us realize this dream.Visit the donation page to see where your money goes.

Otter is a 2yr old, handsome boy who is looking for a quiet, adult home. He has been through quite a telling life so far and he is ready to find someone who will keep him safe and take care of him for the rest of his life. We can see the caution in his eyes when someone approaches him.  He looks worried whether you are going to be his friend.

Otter is looking for someone who has the patience to give him time and a bedroom of his own to feel safe until he gets used to his new person and the sounds of his new home. He is hoping for someone that can read his behavior and understand when he is feeling nervous. He likes when you sit with him  and give him treats. He gets very excited with fast moving feather toys that look like birds fluttering.  He likes to sit on the window sill and watch the birds at the bird feeder and the squirrels hopping by. We do not know how Otter will do with other animals. It would be best to do a slow introduction so he can learn to trust them.

Otter’s long story starts when he was found all alone as a defenseless under aged kitten with no Mom in sight. Otter was rescued by a Good Samaritan and cared for in a foster home until he was old enough to be adopted. Otter was later given away to another home when they could no longer keep him. He was then lost from that home for an unknown amount of time because he was then found many miles away by another good Samaritan who saw he was lost and hungry. Poor Otter is so smart to have survived being outside all that time and we can understand why he is cautious until he gets to know you. We can see Otter relax and start to enjoy getting attention when we sit in a quiet area with him.
