Max is a very cool looking dog. He is a mixed breed dog with some Beagle and Pointer mixed in. His body is very petite and built like a sighthound. This may explain his happiness to go running whether you are attached to his leash or not!  Yes, Max loves to get lots of walks to explore new places. He is neutered and 8yrs old young. He likes to run and play with his bouncing kong toy. He lived with a 5yr old child and got along well. Max has not been around cats so we do not know how he will do with them. He has been nervous around other dogs, not wanting to interact with them and may be happiest as the only dog. If you have another dog at home, you can schedule an appointment to have them meet to see if Max will enjoy the company of your dog. Max is smart and knows sit and down. He needs some basic leash training to help him understand to walk with you instead of trying to pull you down the trail. Max is good for his baths and actually enjoys them because he likes water. He is quiet in the house unless he is nervous, when he will whine to let you know.

You can see Max’s scars on his side as he was so lucky to survive being hit by a car when he was younger. He is an escape artist and will be one step ahead of you so he would do best in a dog savvy home with someone who can monitor all doors and gates to be sure they are shut and locked. If you have a fence, it may need to be a 6 foot tall to keep him in.
