Rocket is a sweet boy who is very friendly once he knows you. He really likes when you rub his ears. He will lean into your hand and close his eyes. He also likes to be held and enjoys chasing a toy mouse if you throw it. Rocket has an independent side too. Sometimes he is quite happy to be off on his own.  Rocket uses his scratching post well and enjoys calmly exploring window sills and shelves.  He is 4yrs old and lost his home when his family had to move out of the country. Rocket is ready to have a home again. He would prefer to be the only pet in the house as other animals really upset him. He really likes to have his ears scratched and comes right over to say hi if you are calm and gentle. If something upsets Rocket, he will let you know by hissing or putting his ears back. He communicates very well. We are thinking these moments have to  do with Rocket seeing or hearing the other cats here, so you can imagine how ready he is to get out of a shelter and into a home. He would be best suited in an adult home or a home with older children who understand if he is scared and needs space.
