If you are looking for a fun, playful dog with lots of energy, this happy girl may just be who you are looking for. This is Hershey, a 3yr old, female, Chocolate Lab/American Pit Buller Terrier Mix, who truly loves life. She is a medium sized dog and would be great for an athletic family who likes to go on hikes and walks. Her-She gets really excited really quick and needs a firm, confident owner to remind her to be calm and gentle around people. She would do well with a fenced yard for daily exercise. She wants someone to play with her. Hershey is not the couch potato type and her bouncy and mouthy energy might be too much for small children. She is ready to continue her basic training with you and she knows sit, drop-it and stay if you have a treat for her. She also tries to give you her paw. Once you calm her down, she is loving and affectionate and leans her head right on your lap. She is trained to wait in her crate until you come home too. She does well waiting to go potty until you take her outside and is used to waiting up to 8 hours. Hershey likes to play with toys and gets excited ready to fetch them.

Due to landlord and insurance pet policies, Hershey's adoption requires you to own your home.  A fenced yard is currently required for her, however if your yard is not fenced you can give us a call at the shelter to see if your home situation would be a good match for Hershey. 

To start the adoption process for this pet, visit the shelter during our animal viewing hours. After having a visit with them, you can fill out an adoption application at our facility.
