Lewis is an adorable mixed breed puppy. He is 11 months old and he looks like a Hound mix. Even though he is medium sized, he has some attributes that remind us of Great Dane in his look too. He is a very cool dog. Lewis is loyal and sweet with his people. He will follow you around and then lay at your feet while you are busy. Lewis is smart and he is just learning to meet new people. He can be nervous and scared in new situations and needs you to show him he is safe and he can look to you for guidance. He is a quick learner. If the person scares him, Lewis may need a moment and some treats to show him he can say hi to the new person. Lewis gives alert barks at people who scare him. If the person is gentle and talks to him, he will go up to say hi. Lewis is playful and has enjoyed playing with other dogs. If you have a dog at home, you can bring them by during our animal viewing hours to see if they are a good match. Lewis is just learning his puppy manners and is ready to continue his training with you. He is gaining weight very well. Poor guy was so malnourished when he was found. He deserves someone who will take the time to love him and socialize him around gentle people. As he continues with his good nutrition, he may grow some more.
