Jax is a playful and very happy dog. He is loving and affectionate with people. Jax is looking for a special home as he needs an adult home with someone who has time for some training. Jax bonds quickly to someone who is confident and friendly. Jax feels threatened when someone raises their voice or if he thinks he is in trouble. He gets scared and he thinks he needs to defend himself. He needs someone who understands how to show him he can trust you. Jax needs time to bond with you during an official training class so he can learn his basic manners and learn to trust you handling him. Jax likes to go with you in the car and loves to chase squeaky toys. He is not used to being around other dogs. If you have a dog at home, you can bring them by during our Animal Viewing Hours to see if they will be a good match. Jax is a 1yr old, mixed breed dog, who weighs 17lbs and has some Shih Tzu and some type of terrier in him.
To start the adoption process for this pet, visit the shelter during our animal viewing hours. After having a visit with them, you can fill out an adoption application at our facility. Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri 10:00-4:30 Tues 1:30-7:00 Closed on Sat, Sun and County observed Holidays.
