Mookie is a 3yr old, male, Shih Tzu mix who is looking for a gentle person to help him feel safe. Mookie has done well getting used to his surroundings and schedule here. He was so nervous at first and needs a gentle person who will give him time to get used to you. He is not sure of new people and would be a good match for an adult home or a home with older teenagers who know when he is nervous. Mookie is friendly and protective once he knows you. He will bark when he hears someone come around. Mookie is crate trained to help him remember to wait to go potty until you get back. Taking him outside often will help him learn your schedule and where you want him to go potty. He previously lived with another dog and was playful. He is unsure of new dogs and may need some time to get used to them.
To start the adoption process for this pet, visit the shelter during our animal viewing hours. After having a visit with them, you can fill out an adoption application at our facility. Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri 10:00-4:30 Tues 1:30-7:00 Closed on Sat, Sun and County observed Holidays.
