Sapphire is an 8 week old, female, American Pit Bull Terrier mix. We were told she has some American Bulldog in her and she appears that she will be a large dog when full grown.   Sapphire is active playful but she has times that she is unsure and needs you to lead her and show her she is safe. Once she knows you, she will try to get her way so she will need consistent puppy training. She would do well in a home with a large fenced yard to help her get her energy out. Sapphire needs basic training to learn her doggy manners. A puppy training class will help her learn some boundaries around other people and dogs.

Due to landlord and insurance pet breed policies, Sapphire’s adoption requires you to own your home.  A fenced yard is currently required for her, however if your yard is not fenced you can give us a call at the shelter to see if your home situation would be a good match for her. 

To start the adoption process for this pet, visit the shelter during our animal viewing hours. After having a visit with them, you can fill out an adoption application at our facility.
