Squirt is an adorable sweetheart who is breaking our hearts. He is so unsure of the kennel environment and does not understand why he is here. He looks sad and downhearted. If we go in and just sit with him, he will come over to get comforted. He is comfortable around gentle people talking to him with a soothing voice. He did very well previously loose in the house. If he was let outside to potty often enough, he didn’t have mistakes in the house either. Squirt is a lovely, bashful boy here but he was known to be a happy and friendly dog in a place that he is used to. The great thing about Squirt is his medium size at 45lbs and he is already mature at 6yrs old. Squirt is a mixed breed dog with some American Pit Bull Terrier mixed in him. He is already neutered and did great with another dog he lived with.  He has not been around cats yet. Squirt is good in the car and trusted alone in the house. He likes to be with his people so he doesn’t feel worried.  A basic training class will help this sweet boy bond to you and help him gain some more confidence away from the home. Due to landlord and insurance pet policies, Squirt’s adoption requires you to own your home.  A fenced yard is currently required for him, however if your yard is not fenced you can give us a call at the shelter to see if your home situation would be a good match for him.
