Bombo is a handsome, male, longhaired German Shepherd who is just a puppy at 11 months old. He is an alert barker to any dogs or people that walk by. He needs to learn to sit quietly to meet someone new. Bombo is very smart and very sweet if you are calm around him and remind him to sit and be gentle.  He needs lots of exercise to keep his brain healthy and would benefit from a large yard for playing and running. Bombo wants to please you and is ready to go to training classes to help teach him his self-control and his puppy manners. He is also learning English because he grew up in a Spanish speaking home. He is very smart and has already learned sit.  Bombo can get goofy and way too excited if you show him too much of your energy. He is a big goof and forgets his strength so he will need a strong owner who can be consistent in expectations.  He is used to playing rough with a female dog he previously lived with so if you have another dog at home, you can bring them by the shelter during our animal viewing hours below to see if the dogs would be a good match.  He also needs brushing often to keep his long hair from getting tangled. He will especially enjoy the attention after playtime when he is settled down. He has been around children, however he may be a better match for older children since he gets overly excited at times. Bombo would also do best with someone who has recently owned a large breed dog and has experience handling them. He is 75lbs and he is not full grown yet.
