Your Donation Saves Lives!
We count on your donations to continue our life-saving work. As a non-profit organization with no paid staff members, our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly on behalf of local animals. And our efforts are paying off. Our innovative programs have been credited with reducing the number of animals who are euthanized at our local animal control facility. Our dream is that one day, no adoptable animals will be killed in area shelters. We thank you for helping us realize this dream.Visit the donation page to see where your money goes.

This adorable little guy is a 7lb, mixed breed who may have some Miniature Schnauzer and Maltese mixed in. His name is Murphy. He is a 3yr old, neutered male and he is looking for an active person who likes to stay busy throughout the day.  Murphy is energetic, playful and loves to explore and play. He gets bored if he doesn’t get enough playtime each day. Murphy is a happy dog and likes to play with bouncing balls and to rough house. Murphy did not live with any other animals or children. If you have another dog at home, you can bring them by the shelter to see if they will get along and be a good match. Murphy has times that he is quite vocal, especially when left alone. He would do best in a single home with no neighbors attached to you. He was very tolerant of shaving and clipping his matted hair when he came into us. His hair continues to grow and he will need to be brushed often to prevent matting until you have him professionally groomed every 4-6 weeks.  When you handling him, he gets nervous with your hands sometimes so you have to go slow and let him know he can trust you. He would do best in an adult home or a home with older children who understand how to read his body language when he is nervous. He is crate trained and will go in to lay down in his bed at night if you leave the door open.

Murphy saw cats in a cage. He was more interested in smelling their food then checking out the cats. With a slow introduction, he may do okay in a home with a cat that likes to play.

To start the adoption process for this pet, visit the shelter during our animal viewing hours. After having a visit with them, you can fill out an adoption application at our facility.
