Nala is a gorgeous dog and an absolutely wonderful personality too!  She has shades of Chocolate that change with the lighting in the room.  She is very loving and very loyal. She is smart and listens well if you are firm with her. Nala will sit right next to you while you are working at the desk or lay in her dog bed when you are busy. She is energetic and likes to run and play. She gets really excited with squeaky toys and it brings her such joy to be able to chase one. She runs back all around the room so proud and happy. She will toss the toy and keep chasing it. Nala is a lap dog and will try to snuggle with you in your lap.  Nala is only 2yrs old, already spayed and weighs 60lbs.  She is friendly and likes to meet people. Nala makes great eye contact for training and responds very well to verbal commands once she knows you.   Nala will bark when someone comes to the door. Once you allow the person in, Nala will go greet them and gets used to them quickly if they offer her a treat. Nala knows sit, down and give paw.  She is learning about her boundaries and is ready to continue her basic training with you. She is very confident around other dogs and may not do well with another female. She is vocal in her playstyle so another dog would need to get used to that. She would do well with a male dog that will play with her a lot. She likes to run and is very vocal in her playstyle. She will give a correction to the other dog if they play in a way she does not approve. Nala is an American Pit Bull Terrier mix and due to landlord and insurance pet policies, Nala’s adoption requires you to own your home.  A fenced yard is currently required for her, however if your yard is not fenced you can give us a call at the shelter to see if your home situation would be a good match for Nala. 

To start the adoption process for this pet, visit the shelter during our animal viewing hours. After having a visit with them, you can fill out an adoption application at our facility.
