Rose is a 2yr old, female, Yorkie who at first takes a moment to get to know you. Rose really likes to be with a person so it does not take her long to get used to you if you are gentle and kind. Rose has lots of silly energy once she knows you and loves to run and play. She is a busy body and would enjoy walking or hiking for exercise daily.  Rose has lived with children and got along well, however she is unsure with some types of handling so she is better suited to an adult home or a home with older children who understand how to tell if she is unsure of what they are doing. Rose lived with another dog but she did not always get along with that dog. If you have a dog at home, who is submissive and will let her be in charge, you can bring your dog by the shelter to have them meet and see if they will be a good match.  Rose enjoys playing under the covers and gets silly when you cover her. She likes to chase squeaky toys and she rolls around upside down so fast to get you to pet her belly.  She is very smart and easy to train but you have to be a step ahead of her because she is a quick thinker. She has done well in a car and also knows sit, stay and wait but you need to tell her these firmly once she knows you. She is generally good with kind people, she is crate trained and has also done well waiting to go potty until taken outside.
