This beautiful, medium haired cat is looking for an understanding person to come rescue him. This is Wick and he needs you to understand how to read cat behavior. If Wick is not comfortable with you petting him, you can see by his body language that he needs you to stop. He is only 2yrs old, is already neutered and was originally found abandoned outside. Wick acts like he has been around people but is not quite comfortable allowing us to continually pet him. He is still learning to enjoy the feeling of a hand petting him. We are learning what areas he likes you to scratch, like his chin or his ears. He likes his space sometimes. Wick is an explorer and would enjoy cat trees, window sills and bookshelves for exploring. He is not the “small space” type of cat. Wick is happy to check out what you are doing and would enjoy playtime to chase a stick you push under the rug. He just loves to try to catch it. Wick will do best in an adult home with cat savvy people who understand how to read his cues he gives us.
