Your Donation Saves Lives!
We count on your donations to continue our life-saving work. As a non-profit organization with no paid staff members, our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly on behalf of local animals. And our efforts are paying off. Our innovative programs have been credited with reducing the number of animals who are euthanized at our local animal control facility. Our dream is that one day, no adoptable animals will be killed in area shelters. We thank you for helping us realize this dream.Visit the donation page to see where your money goes.

This adorable duo is Scooby and Shorty. They are male, 7 year old Chihuahua/Yorkie mixes who are looking for a home together. Scooby(cream) and Shorty(red) are bonded and so cute together. They are used to being loose in the house and lived with an older child. Scooby and Shorty have not been around any cats yet so we do not know how they will react. They are good in the car and like to go for walks. Scooby and Shorty are doing well on their doggy diet and need your help to go for leisurely walks to help them get to a healthy weight. They are protective of their owner and will need someone who can be a leader to tell them when to bark at new people and other dogs.  They would be most comfortable in an adult home or a home with older children who understand to be gentle with them. Once Scooby and Shorty know you, they are very affectionate, love to be pet and scratched and follow you around like two little shadows. If you have room in your heart and lots of love to give these two, come on by to meet them. They have both been seen by a vet. Shorty’s 1st vet did not hear a heart murmur but his 2nd vet did. Shorty’s heart would be something to keep an eye on if your vet hears a heart murmur too.

These two might take some time in the beginning to help them get used to your schedule in regard to potty training. They are well worth the effort. They look at you in the eyes, so happy when you get home. They are loyal to people they know and cautious around new people. They just need proper introductions so you can show them that someone new is a friend.

Please call our adoption coordinator if you have any questions about these lovely boys.  They are a part of our Lucky 7 Adoption Program.

To start the adoption process for this pet, visit the shelter during our animal viewing hours. After having a visit with them, you can fill out an adoption application at our facility.
