Jeffrey is a delight. He is happy and always smiling. He is medium sized at 45lbs and he just wants you to love him. Jeffrey is very loyal and wants to be right next to you. He is a mixed breed dog with a little of this and a little of that. For websites that require a breed, we are going to call him a Beagle mix. Jeffrey melts when you pet him, laying down and giving you his belly. He is submissive and has anxious energy. He will cuddle right with you for a nap and will go outside for walks to sniff around. He knows sit, wait and stay but his attachment to you makes him give you the “sad puppy dog eyes” while he crawls over to you, just wanting you to pet him more. He also takes treats very gently and enjoys learning new tricks with you. Jeffrey is about 6yrs old and would like someone to rescue him who will help him feel safe.  Jeffrey has been around another dog and done well. If you have a dog at home, you can bring them in during our animal viewing hours below to see if they will be a good match for each other. Jeffrey has been vocal when left alone, so he would do best in a Single Family Home, where your neighbor is not attached to your walls. Since he is sensitive, he may also do best in an adult home or a home with older children who understand how to be gentle and help him feel comfortable.
