Rusty is an adorable, 20lb, mixed breed who is absolutely adorable. He has some Pomeranian and maybe some Dachshund or Longhaired Chihuahua.  Rusty is very nervous here at the shelter and still getting used to his surroundings. He is cautious when someone reaches out to pet him and needs you to move slowly so he knows he can trust you. Once Rusty gets used to you, he is sweet and likes you to pet him and hold him. He is also playful and likes to chase squeaky toys.  He just needs some extra time to get used to something new. Rusty would do best in an adult home or a home with older children who understand how to be gentle with him and give him time to learn to trust them. Rusty is smart and very loyal to his person. He knows sit, no and lets go. He was used to being the only pet. If you have another dog at home, you can bring them by during our animal viewing hours below to see if Rusty will enjoy their company.

Note: please call the shelter before you come to visit Rusty. He will be neutered soon and we can let you know if he will be available to visit that day.

Once you visit the shelter during our animal viewing hours and visit with Rusty, you can fill out an adoption application at our facility.
