Your Donation Saves Lives!
We count on your donations to continue our life-saving work. As a non-profit organization with no paid staff members, our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly on behalf of local animals. And our efforts are paying off. Our innovative programs have been credited with reducing the number of animals who are euthanized at our local animal control facility. Our dream is that one day, no adoptable animals will be killed in area shelters. We thank you for helping us realize this dream.Visit the donation page to see where your money goes.

About 39762 - Cherie

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • Rescue ID: 39762

This gorgeous cat is Cherie. She is a brightly colored Torbie cat who is a senior, looking for a nice retirement home. She is laid back and likes to be near you. Cherie will come over and rub on your ankle to say hi. She will give you a little squeek meow sometimes when you talk to her. She is comfortable around gentle, quiet people who understand her needs. Cherie likes when you pet her but she needs to get used to you first. She likes to make the first move. If you can hang out near her and give her time to get used to you, she will make a lovely companion.  Cherie's bashfulness at first goes away as she bonds to her person.  We are so proud of Cherie's bravery here at the busy shelter.  When you visit, you will see her in the window cage from the lobby. If you go over to the window, Cherie can't help it and comes over to rub on the glass, happy to see you. Once the door of her cage is open, she forgets her gumption but still acts cute to get you to watch her. She is an adorable, sweet kitty if you just give her some time to get to know you.  Cherie just wants a peaceful life with a window sill for bird watching and a soft bed for her cat naps.  She would do best in an adult home or a home with older children who understand to be quiet and gentle around her.

To start the adoption process for this pet, visit the shelter during our animal viewing hours. After having a visit with them, you can fill out an adoption application at our facility.
