Sophia is hoping for a gentle person to adopt her. She is 12lbs, 5yrs old and a mix of Chihuahua and Jack Russell Terrier. She is not used to other dogs yet, however if you have another dog at home, you can bring them by during our Animal Viewing Hours below. Sophia is known for barking for you when you leave the home so she would do best in a single home with no neighbors attached to you. Once Sophia knows you, she is very loveable and smart too. She knows sit, go potty and go to your crate. She likes to play with toys or to chew on bones. She is good in the car and walks very well on leash. Sophia is used to waiting in her crate if she is left alone. She goes potty outside but will have accidents inside if you do not get her outside often enough to go. Here at the shelter, Sophia is getting used to her daily walks with our volunteers. She is happy to see us and already getting used to the routine. She trots along with you on a walk and looks happy to be outside with us.  She would do best in an adult home or a home with older children who understand to be gentle with her.

Animal Viewing Hours:
Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri 10:00-4:30 (Closed at 2:30 the last Friday of each month)
Tues 1:30-7:00 and Sat 10:00-2:00
Closed on county observed Holidays and Holiday weekends.
The shelter will be closed Fri April 7 and Sat April 8 for the county observed holiday.
