Prepare to fall in love! Missy is a 2 year old female American Bully who is 120lbs. She has stolen the heart of every shelter employee and volunteer here. Missy visually impaired and needs your help to lead her so she doesn't run into objects. She learns her surroundings and with some patience, she will learn your home too. Although she can’t see the world like you and me, that doesn’t stop her from living life to the fullest. Missy is a powerful dog and needs a strong owner. She walks very well on leash but prefers to stay near her people. Missy will need a patient owner that is willing to accommodate her special needs both with her vision impairment and her size. She cannot be allowed access to steps because she cannot see them. If you have porch steps, you will need to teach her how to walk down them or install a ramp to help her. Missy loves to climb in your lap for head rubs and she lays her head right on your chest. She really has no clue how big she is. Sat 10:00-2:00 (Closed on county observed holidays and holiday weekends.)
