Diego is a neutered male, Dachshund/Lab mix who is 30lbs. He has adorable short legs and a bashful and sweet personality. Diego likes to be with his person and once he gets used to you, he is playful. He likes to go for walks and will run around with you too. Diego is looking for an adult home or a home with teenagers because he does not trust children for some reason. 

He is sweet, loving and affectionate to adults and he also lived with a smaller dog and got along well. Diego is just learning to socialize around other dogs. He did wonderful when he met a new dog here at the shelter. If you have a dog at home, you can bring them by during our Animal Viewing Hours below to see if Diego will be comfortable with your dog. Diego lived with a cat and got along well. 

Diego's happy tail wags and his cute antics will surely make you smile. You would not guess that he is 9yrs old. He loves to sit with you while you read or watch tv and he likes to have a soft dog bed. He likes to go with you in the car and he does wonderful in the house. He is not destructive and he will wait to go potty until you take him outside. Diego really enjoys going for walks to explore with his person. Are you looking for a walking buddy? Tues & Thurs 1:30-7:00
Sat 10:00-2:00 (Closed on county observed holidays and holiday weekends.)
