Do not call the Ho Co Shelter about Doogie--he is in another shelter. Please use the contact info above or below. Doogie is a great dog who is being overlooked because he is a pit bull mix, and because he is a dark brindle color. Pit bulls, especially darker ones, are the least likely to be adopted. He's been in a shelter since May, which should tell you how highly thought of he is. He is about 8 months old, and 65 pounds. He was brought to the shelter because his former family's landlord said that he had to go! He needs a family who owns their own home, so he doesn't have to worry about this again. He lived with very young children, and did very well with them.
He walks nicely on a leash. He's going to obedience training for some mental stimulation, and has been found to be quite smart, anxious to learn, and good around other dogs.
