Your Donation Saves Lives!
We count on your donations to continue our life-saving work. As a non-profit organization with no paid staff members, our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly on behalf of local animals. And our efforts are paying off. Our innovative programs have been credited with reducing the number of animals who are euthanized at our local animal control facility. Our dream is that one day, no adoptable animals will be killed in area shelters. We thank you for helping us realize this dream.Visit the donation page to see where your money goes.

About Winnie

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
Winnie is not in the shelter--she is in our foster program--please use the contact info below or above. Winnie had a litter of pups, we don't know what happened to them, but we do know she was not well taken care of. Winnie lost her hair, probably due to poor nutrition and the stress of having pups. She is healthy now, her hair has grown back, and we will soon have better pictures of her. She is now spayed, fully vaccinated, dewormed, negative for heartworm, and will be microchipped.

Winnie is a 10-15 pound adult female Pekenise Chihuahua mix who is very timid when meeting new people. She warms up quickly, and spent her first day in her foster home curled up in her foster mom's lap. Finally, someone cares about her, and feels she is worthy of attention.

Winnie needs a quiet home without a lot commotion where she can feel loved. If you want a lap dog who bonds quickly Winnie might be the girl for you.
