Daisy Mae really is just about the most perfect dog with no issues except we would like to place her with another friendly dog and someone who isn't gone for long work days.  Oh my goodness, look out, she is a cutie!  Daisy Mae is not in the shelter—she is in a foster home in our Rescue Program so please use the contact info below.  Daisy Mae is a very sweet and gentle girl who cae from our local shelter.  Although she has a white face, don't let that fool you; our vet thinks she is about 5 years old.  Daisy is really blossoming in her foster home, where she has a companion dog to show her the ropes. There is no whining when her foster mom is leaving to run errands and no barking in the house, except when she gets really excited about the smell of food.  She also does a pleasing bay when, you guessed it, she sees a squirrel or bunny when she's outside. After a nice morning walk, she is happy to just curl up on the sofa and sleep most of the day. She does not chew on things and even has no idea yet what dog toys are.  Even dog treats were new to her but as a beagle, she's catching on to that fast!  She has met many other dogs, gets along very well with them and also seems fine around cats.

Daisy Mae enjoys being next to a warm, loving human and putting her head on his or her legs. Daisy still needs encouragement to come to you and is still afraid she could have done something wrong. Daisy loves the outdoors and would appreciate a fenced backyard. She does not ask for much when it comes to exercise or food, she just would like someone she can trust and who can continue to help her continue to come out of her shell.   Her foster mom is extremely proud of this little girl, considering the progress Daisy Mae has made in just a few weeks.
